Hi Sylvia,
Glen Wyllin river has provided power for 4 mills going back 100s of years. Starting from the top Bordall Mill or Ballakinnag Mill or The Gill (corn) associated with the Caine, Quayle and Siddleton families(fulling took place after corn). Then Glen Wyllin Mill or Harrys Mill (corn)ran by the Caine then the Faraghers. Further down the river is the site of Myllen- e -Kelly or the flax mill you are inquiring about suituated roughly opposite Mill Bank House (last mentioned !860) ran in partnership with two well known local families from Whitehouse Farm and Ballagawne Farm. Then finally Mullen-e-Gawe, Kerrow Cruin Mill or Corjeags Mill ran by an old Michael family called Corkan this mill also had a long standing conection to Whitehouse Farm, then laterly (1881) owned by the Corjeag family.
Hope this is some help,
John.
