Hello Joan, here is the Will of Elinor Quine als Cannell 1784 Braddan
also have found, Will of John Quine 1805 I will post his Will tomorrow,
still waiting on the film for, Margaret Quine's Will,
have also sent to manxnotebook and IOMFHS websites,

In the Name of God Amen. I Elinr Quine als

Cannell of the Plaise in ye Parish of KK Braddan

Widow, being of sound & perfect mind & memory, do

make this my last Will & Testament in manner

following. _____
Imprimis, I commend my Soul to God and my -

Body to Christian Burial.

Itm I leave to my Eldest son Edwd. Quine all which

he owes & is indebted unto me, save & except

half a Guinea which he sd. Edwd. Quine is to pay

unto my Daughter Jane.

Itm I leave to my Eldest Daughter Margt. ^ (crossed out)

shillings & some odd pence which she now

owes to me, if She owes or pretendeth no claim

or demand to any other part of my Goods & Effects

but if she my sd. Eldest Daughter shall challenge

or claim any Right or Title to my Goods by way

of [Corbew] or any other pretence, then She is hereby

entirely to be deprived of the aforesd. Legacy &

not to receive any of my Effects whatever only

one Shilling. _____

Itm I leave to my Daughtr Mary the blue Gown,

the best Blanket, and all the Feathers that is

not used.

Itm I leave to my Daughter Elinr. the sum of twenty

Shillings & the white apron.

Itm I leave to my Grand Daughter Elinr. Quine the little wheel

Itm I leave & bequeath to Isabel Creere ( Jno. Creere’s wife)

als Faile my best Cloak. __

Itm I leave to my Grand Son Jno. Corkill a quinea, &

also shirts sufficient for him during the time or

Term of a Trade or Imployment. ___

Lastly I give & bequeath to my Daughter Catharine

when I likewise constitute, ordain & appoint (the

whole & sole) Executx. of this my last Will &

Testament all the residue & remainder of my

Goods Rights & Effects movable & unmovable of

what species or denomination soever : leaving &

bequeathing six pence Legacy to any Person or

Persons pretending a Right or Title to any of

my Goods whatever. In witness whereof I have

hereunto caused my Name & Mark to be sub –
