Re: help w/ tobin's
In Response To: Re: help w/ tobin's ()

I am working on that question as well & some others "marriage". I have the records from the Prussian line. I have been able to get back to the late 1600's. I have Sir John Tobin B: Nov 28 1694 in Westfalen, Prussia. M: Apr 1719 to Barbara Wall (have copies of those records.) John’s parents on records are listed as John Tobin & Anabella Butler. John & Barbara has Samuel B: Isle of Man (have record) & Patrick B: 1735 Isle of Man. I have Patrick married to Eleanor Breckel (Breakhill) 7 Dec 1758 Isle of Man. I don't have a record for that yet.
The Tobin's however did not originate from Ireland. Many did move there & start families. My family has changed the spelling of their name many times lol so that makes it difficult. I spell it Tobyne.
I would love the web address to Frances's web site. Maybe I could find some info there to go on to find the missing link
