I now have the papers (think eight pages) but havent had time to scan them etc but will post more details onto the board later. Basically William Cubbon presented the forged document in 1846 - with force and arms... (his Mother Margaret Cubbon nee Radcliffe having died 1845) which had been dated 1827 and stated insomuch that everything was to be left to William Cubbon, son and heir and that if Margaret died first and Robert Cubbon should remarry Robert was to forfeit everything to William. It mentions land, houses, intack etc but no addresses (and interestingly mentioned Andreas and Bride). Robert and Margaret married in Bride and I wondered if this was where Robert was originally from.
Now have to obtain the Will for Margaret Cubbon and hopefully will mention names/places.
Mysteriously there is no Will listed on Brian Lawsons site for Robert Cubbon who died 1849 - I think there must have been some considerable assets so does anyone have any clues how to pursue that?
