John Lewin Bruce was my great uncle, brother of my grandfather, Alexander, whom I knew while growing up in Vancouver. John Lewin Bruce also lived in Vancouver, as did brothers Robert(also lived in U.S.) and Leonard (moved to Ontario). Their father definitely was John Bruce(wife Sophia Margaret Lewin) of Lonan and Douglas, and his father definitely was William Bruce(wife Elizabeth Kewley).
