Debbie, as it is old and fragile you could protect it by wrapping it in an acid-free cover. I was given a good tip by a book restorer, who said that those bags you buy at supermarkets for roasting chickens/turkeys etc. are acid free, and are as good as the expensive alternatives for protecting old documents or books.
