Hi Deborah: My advice would be most definitely DO NOT part with this 'family bible' for what could turn out to be a most valuable source of your family history. You should keep it in a safe place until you are very sure that it does not belong in your family. It must be assumed that your father had kept this book for a good reason and perhaps meant to pass it on to you. Even though you may think at this time that it is not relevant to your family, it may well turn out to be just that - relevant!
I believe you will regret, in the future, parting with it if that is what you decide to do.
