HI to you all i am really needing advice on what to do about a family bible i have in my possession.
when my dad passed away it was found with his possessions and as you can quess i was over the moon (a family bible that will help me on my way with my research). unfortunatly i cannot find any connection to my YATES family. which has made me really sad. i don't think it belongs to my nana who was a murphy and born in liverpool. but then i have not done any research on her yet. so i really don't know what to do with it . do i keep it? do i gift it back to the i.o.m? but who would have it? i really do not know what to do, it's very old and i am scared it may rot away in my house,although it is rapped up in bubble rap and in a safe place it's just to delicate , and precious as it was in my dad's possession,s.
i would really appreciate some advice in what to do. i am a bit reluctent to let it go, what if i am giving away something that has been in my family for generations.
and then it turn,s out it was my nana's? would i see it again?
please can you help me
