Have you got his death cert? If NSW this should also give his parents' details. Army record? Is his date of birth not given anywhere in Australian records? Passenger record to Australia?
You need to give all possible details from Australian records before trying to find overseas ones - no point guessing on the basis of how many siblings. Wasn't his age given at marriage? Surely someone knows when his birthday was?
