i think they got married over here now , as sandra has found out for me that edith ann had two children out of wedlock , 1886 she had alice maud margaret [ no father ] 1890 she had lydia[ no father ] by 1894 she and john henry cain had my grandad robert henry cain
1891 census edith was still with parants john and elizabeth cowell with the two girls and john cain was then lodging with tinothy brian and wife and a couple of other lodgers,
1871 sees john age 9 boarding with jane and william duke and there boys
1881 john cain is with just jane duke age 60 years, so whats missing is his parents
