I am trying to make sense of an 1861 census entry.

Edward, son, unmarried, 18, apprentice blacksmith, Liverpool
James Quinney, son in law, married, 30, mariner, Arbory
Catherine, daughter, married, 25, dressmaker, Castletown.

Catherine would appear to be the second wife of John Hudgeon.
The children, Catherine & Edward, would appear to be her children from her first marriage.

John Lawson, head, married, 50, mariner, Castletown
Catherine, wife, married, 47, Castletown
Catherine, daughter, 4, scholar, Castletown
Edward, son, 8, scholar, England

John Lawson was buried 9 Oct 1851
Catherine Lawson married John Hugeon 20 Sep 1853 at Malew.

If I am making the correct connections, Catherine's maiden name was Hudson just to make things more confusing.
