German, farmer, on or about the 27th day of July 1891 departed this life

This court hath decreed Jane Halsall of Cronk E Voddy aforesaid widow

the relict of deceased Administrator of All and Singular the personal

Estate and Effects of the said deceased, and accordingly she is sworn

well and truly to administer the said estate and effects of the said

deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses so far forth as

the said Estate and Effects will extend and the Law bind her and

distributing the residue according to Law, and to return to the proper

Registry a full, true, and perfect inventory of all and singular the said

Estate and Effects, with an accurate account of her administration

thereof when thereunto lawfully required. --------- Gill a judge of the

said court.

Estate of John Halsall

Know all men by these presents, that we Jane Halsall of Cronk E Voddy,

Frederick Halsall of Cronk E Voddy and James Killip of Ballaugh are

jointly and severally and any two of us jointly bound unto our Sovereign

Lady the Queen in the sum of Two hundred pounds, to the payment

whereof, well and truly to be made to our said Lady the Queen her heirs,

and successors, we bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally, and

any two of us jointly, our Executors and Administrators, firmly by these

present. As witness our subscription the 9th day of November in the

year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety one.

The condition of the obligation is such, that if the above named Jane

Halsall the intended administratrix of all and singular the personal

estate and effects of John Halsall late of Cronk E Voddy farmer but now

deceased, who died on or about the 27th July 1891, do, when lawfully

called on in that behalf, make or cause to be made a true and perfect

inventory of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said

deceased which have or shall come into her hands, possession, or

knowledge, or into the hands of any other person for her and the same to

made do exhibit, or cause to be exhibited into the proper Registry in that

behalf whenever required by law so to do: And the same personal estate

and effects and all other the personal estate and effects of the said

deceased which shall at any time come into the hands or possession of

the said Jane Halsall or into the hands or possession of any other person

or persons for her or which without default might have come into the

hands or possession of the said Jane Halsall do well and truly administer

according to law, that is to say, do pay the debts and liabilities of the

said deceased so far as the said personal estate will extend and the

law bind the said Jane Halsall and do deliver and pay unto the person or

persons legally entitled thereto all the rest and residue of the said

personal estate and effects, then this obligation to be void and of no

effect or else to remain in full force and virtue.

Sheweth: That Thomas Halsall of Arbory lately departed this life
intestate leaving Jane Halsall his widow and your petr's his sons him
surviving
That it is necessary that administration should be speedily granted to
the estate of the said Thomas Halsall deceased as the growing crops and

stock upon the premises requires to be attended too.
Wherefore your petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that an
Administrator may be appointed to this estate without delay and they
will pray. W. Kinley for petrs
Ordered that this petrs do come unto be heard at Douglas on Friday next

whereof all proper parties to have notice.
Given this 21st day ofo Sept 1839. J. B. Hartwell.

these ends Paul Taggart and Edward Clark have become bound unto the
Lord Bishop and his successors in the sum of One hundred pounds British
Decretum est F. B. Hartwell.
This is to certify that by the virtue and authority of the Rev'd F. B.
Hartwell Vicar General I have charged Jane Halsall widow of the late
Thos Halsal deceased to appear at an Ecclesiastical Court holden in
Douglas on Friday next to answer the petition of Nicholas Halsall and
Thos Halsall this 24th September 1839

Know all men by these Presents, that We, Paul Taggart of Balladoole in
the parish of Arbory and Edward Clarke of the Moaney Moor in the parish
of Malew are held and firmly bound to James Lord Bishop of Sodor and
Mann, and his Successors, in the sum of One hundred pounds British; to
the Payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind Ourselves, our
Heirs, Executors, Administrators, and Assigns, jointly and severally, by
these presents, to the said Lord Bishop and his successors.
Witness our Subscriptions, this day of 27 Sep 1839.
Whereas the Ecclesiastical Court of this Island hath this day granted
administration of the estate of Thomas Halsall deceased to Nicholas
Halsall and Thomas Halsall aboth of the parish of Malew .
Now the Condition of the above Obligation is such, that if the said
Nicholas Halsall and Thomas Halsall shall well and truly administer the
estate and effects of the said Thomas Halsall decease; and shall in all
Things relating thereto conform to the Law of this Isle, the Orders of the
Ecclesiastical Courts thereof, and the Oath they have this day taken,
then the foregoing Obligation to be void, other way to be and remain in
