Re: Karran
In Response To: Re: Karran ()

Kay, thank you so much. Your information is extremely valuable...and I have certainly got a William as being son of Sylvester, although on this confused tree I have, Sylvester m a Margaret? (from Greeba) However, the name Quine is on also...higher up the tree. It is Margaret Quine (Kirk Christ Lezayre). I wonder if the author (Winnie Shimmin, my father's cousin) got her facts wrong. It does seem though, that several families intertwined, and also the names Corris & Shimmin were very common.
If this William (6.9.1840) is the right one...he then is the father William Corris, g of Margaret Isobel Corris, and gg to Amy Shimmin (my grandmother)
If you have any more information on William (6.9.40) and his descendants I would be grateful.
On my hand written tree, Winnie (who still lives in USA) has Frederick m Anne Dubells (her spelling) - so that is all beginning to tie in. Amy Shimmin was my paternal grandmother and died at a fairly young age. Her husband John D Pickering had a business in Liverpool, but moved back to Wallasey in the late 20's. I, myself was born in Wallasey (Merseyside).
Any information would be most welcome, as I do think you have my line of Corris amongst your research.
Regards
Lynn
