Karran

I am trying to trace my descendents on the Isle of Man. I would appreciate any info as I am coming over to visit the island in May.
My gg was Margaret Isobel Karran born Port St Mary abt 1860, and is shown on 1901 census as living in Toxteth Liverpool. Her father is Thomas, a mariner and is still alive when Margaret married Harry Boon in 1885.
I have found a Margaret Karran bpt at Kirk Rushen in 1859, and her father who was Thomas who married an Elizabeth McLaren on 13th May 1852 in Malew. Therefore I am looking for some positive link? Is this Margaret the right one?
I visited the IOM in 1968 with my mother, who dragged me around looking for her Karran ancestors. Of course at that age I really was not interested, consequently now all I can remember is that we stood outside a cottage/house called Cronk Ash, and it seemed to have belonged to one of our Karran relatives. Could it have been an Arthur Karran? (a possible uncle to my mother) Does anyone know where this might have been please? I also have the feeling that he (arthur) may have been involved in some sort of textile production.
Sorry to be so vague - but if anyone can help I would be grateful.

Just to complicate things, I have relatives on my father's side too.

Amy Margaret Shimmin was the daughter of Margaret (?Jane) Corris and William Shimmin. Margaret Corris was quite well known as a concert pianist, and played on the White Star liners in the 1930s. William Corris, her father married a Margaret Jones from Liverpool, and his father was Sylvester Corris from the (?Foxdale )area of the IOM. He married a Margaret Greeba. This is all just word of mouth, I have not found any dates of births marriages etc.
Can anybody help?
