Thanks for posting these Brian & Frances.
Brian, was there any other Philip Quayle possibility in the Maughold 1851 census to be the one who was aged 89, of BallaCorteen, buried Maughold 17 Jun 1858?
And was there a Philip Quayle (husband of Margaret Cottier), probably in Jurby? With Jurby or Ballaugh as birthplace for him, wife, or family?
The problem is that the Philip Quayle who married Isabella Kermeen was from Ballaugh, and there was no Philip Quayle bapt in Maughold around the right age, so odd that he put his birthplace as Maughold, and tricky to find his parents! Just to be 100% certain that the "born Maughold" was an error and not a different person.
Many thanks again for the help.
