I have a couple of John McArd's but born after 1880, and 2 Joseph McArds.

Joseph McArd bn 1821 Rushen s/o Charles McArd & Isabel Lowey. He married Catherine Nixon (she is a Qualtrough descendant) and they had Joseph bn 1859 (married Susannah Catherine Moore), Charles Edwin bn 1862, William bn 1870, Catheerine bn 1873, Rebecca bn 1876, all Rushen. Because of the gaps in the birth dates I am sure there must be other children.
