Thank you so much for responding and I must apologise for the long delay in my reply but many reasons (too many to go into)
My McArd is John born approx 1854 in Rushen. According to marriage certificate his father was Joshua but I am wondering if this was in fact Josiah as John called his first born Josiah and there is a Josiah who was born in 1830 in Rushen. Would be most grateful if you could help on this one and also for any other McArd details.
