Thank you so much! My grandmother was a Cotteman and we can find no others in the UK. Amazing to come upon this link, and resource so early in my search. Family stories are that a number of Cottemans/Cottimans were killed at sea(as were many Manx men) and that there is a house called Cottemans somewhere near Castletown. Any more information would be most gratefully received.
