Am confused by IGI on subject of Maria Knowles or Nowell from census.

I looked at IGI for chirstening for Maria and it showed Robert KNowles & Ann Kay as youmentioned, when I looked for marrige for Robert Knowles & Ann the IGI lists Roberts parents as Robert Knowles & ann Key or Kay with a christening date of 24 Oct 1813; Avery, Isle of Man with a marriage to spouse of Maria Matilda Ann Cubbon on 10 Nov 1838; Patrick, all the 1830's marriages list this except for a marriage to a Elizabeth Cregeen in 1825.
