Irish records can be very difficult to find because so many church registers and other documents were burnt in 1922 in the PRO fires.
Do you think the family was in the IOM for only a short time, and the children born in Ireland?
Did Thomas's convict records say where he was born? And the daughter on her marriage cert?
Were they sentenced for a crime in Ireland, or in the IOM?
