Hi DonnaThe William QUAYLE I am looking for was apparently appointed guardian when Anrew LYNCHEY'S mother (a widow) was transported to Australia. She took 2 girls and 1 boy with her. Convict mothers could take girls up to 12 years and boys to 8 with them to Australia.
In 1833 Andrew must have been over 8 but by 1841 he was still under 21.
Cheers
