Thanks Tim for all the interesting and useful info in those two messages. Now I have all that detail from early days I do hope I can join my Richard/Jane and modern times up to it! I'm hoping to get to the Island for a short time in May and look at some registers while there, for one thing to try & sort out my Richard & Jane problem, but will also look into the Thomas & Anne/Sarah thing as well. Tho' someone else may find it for you before then.
