It is possible that the gaps in the Lonan records account for the absence of a death record for John Skillicorn.
The records of Jane's birth and marriage and of Bessie's secone marriage also seem to be missing. However as Jane was already married in 1793, it seems that she would have been born around 1770. This gives a time frame for John Skillicorn's death.

Going back to the decree, it is significant that the court makes no mention of Philip and John Skillicorn. Normally as Bessie's children they would have been appointed administrators of Elizabeth Kinley's estate with Jane. This suggests that the were not Bessie's children.
