At the time of the 1861 census, John Quine is now dead, and Margaret his widow of 65 years is now recorded as a farmer of 60 acres in Braddan. They appear to have bought more land or this could be the farm known as 'Thie Phillip' left to Margaret Jelly – his daughter.
