Further to my recorded sources the RABT was opened in 1880 and called the "Slieu Lewaigue Hotel" Then the fire in 1896 as noted.
In 1889 the proprietor was a John James CORLETT of Ramsey. The fire in 1896 was caused by a oil lamp accidentally operated by the then licensee a George MORRIS.
As stated before it was rebuilt in 1897 and re-opened by a licensee Mr Alfred WALL.
Mr J.J. CORLETT died in 1906 and the licence was lost due local residents and the then present Vicar actions, to reduce the number of public houses at that time three in total.
It reverted to a guest house for many years until sold as a private residence in 1947 to the COOPERS as mentioned in my earlier message.
