Bruce, just maybe not as far fetched as it seems. I remember as a youngster having a conversation with my father as we drove to Ramsey. He mentioned a Cannon was a relation, when l asked what relation, he said (if l remember correctly) a distant cousin. He also said that his or my (can't remember) Great Grandfather was born on what is now Laxey football pitch apparently their where cottages on the site prior to the pitch?
