Mark - I have traced my grandfather to Thomas Christian, possible immigrant from Isle of Man to Va, USA, 1649. Do you know anything of Eman Mac Cristen - d. 1605 at age 26? Any Christian that was Deputy Governor of Peel Castle in early 1600's?
