I can't find a marriage of a George R to an Ann Kelly but in 1819 there is a marriage of George R. to Margaret Kelly (this corresponds to an entry in Manx Advertiser 'married Geo Redfern, butcher, to Mis Margt Kelly) - I believe he died in 1857 - In memory of George Redfern who departed this life March 27th 1857 aged 64 also of Margaret Bridson daughter of above who departed this life August 4th 1848 in the 24th year of her life' - his will names a wife called Margaret - he would appear to be son of Ross Redfern + Mary Ann Cottiman bp 1793.

I believe the George who married Jane(Ann) Cannell was son of John & Martha Woods (and Jane was I think his second wife) - he too was a butcher.

However I will willingly agree that the Redferns are exceedingly difficult to trace !
