Only the disreputable Edward the "Merchant" of Ramsey, through his son (b 1752) by Mary Tear, for which they were both presented. From about 1800 the family lived at Lark Hill, Bride, above Ballamin, the house continuing as a holiday home after the old folk died, until it was sold about the time of the First World War. "Allen Lark Hill" still identified me in Bride until at least the 1970s. Edward the Merchant was descended from the first two Allen Protestant Vicars of Maughold.
