Re: MONEAR FAMILY
In Response To: Re: MONEAR FAMILY ()

This is wonderful. I am so excited to have found this bulletin board and to be able to be in contact with people who may be connected to my Manx ancestors. They are very special to me. This is my mother's family.

Any information on the children of the McNameer's that I have listed would be appreciated. Even if you come across the smallest scrap in your own searching. You never know what gap it will fill of our puzzle.

I would love to make a trip to Isle of Man not only to do the research but to walk on the same land as the grandparents. At this time, it is not possible but it is a future plan.

Again! Thank you so much for anything you can share.

About a year ago, I was contacted by someone from Germany looking for his grandfather. They thought it could be my mother's cousin Bill Monear. Bill was not the grandfather, but I managed to find his family for him. They are Moneer and are in Ohio. The oldest member that they can trace is Theodore Moneer (b. abt 1868) in Logan, Ohio married to Leona Rudasill. If this sounds familiar to anyone, I would love to find a couple of additional generations since I'm thinking they very well could have immigrated from Isle of Man.
