Pat, My records state the following : Palmer Albert born at sea 1871 , he was able seaman he served on the vessel "Bessy" his service list started Jan 1st 1896 his previous ship was in 1895 and called the "Mary and Jane" at Port of Ramsey, Isle of Man. source code 3135 IOM ID # 191706. There is no list of Steam-packet vessels served on I am afraid, these vessels above could have been fishing or coaster vessels. If I come across anything else I shall post here ok.
