Thomas Bawden son of late Captain Edward Bawden - neither hints at any connection with Rosemount though my entry for East Baldwin Primitive Methodist Chapel gives Edward Bawden, miner, as trustee in 1865 - as Captain Edward Bawden was noted as from Penzance and most of the Cornish miners were strong Primitive Methodists I would expect him to be associated with the Primitive Methodist chapels not the Wesleyan Rosemount; another John Bawden is noted as trustee of Braaid Primitive Methodist chapel ("Nor must we forget the work of Captain John Bawden, a strong, loyal Primitive Methodist, who has not only done good service locally, but always has taken a deep interest in the Connexion" quoted by Curry)
