Robert Brew was born in the Isle of Man, about 1815. He is possibly the Robert Brew of Cleveland, age 53, formerly of Painesville, who died in Cleveland, December 18, 1863, obituary Telegraph, December 24, 1863, p. 3.

Robert Brew married, in Lake County, Ohio, October 26, 1847, Esther Crow. She was born in the Isle of Man, about 1826. (Was she the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Crellin) Crow, baptized at Jurby, May 31, 1826?
Robert and Esther Brew lived in Painesville.

1850 Painesville census: # 262: Robert Brew 35 moulder IOM; Esther 24 IOM; Rosalie 6/12 Ohio.

1860 Painesville village census # 1474: Robt Brew 47 furnace man IOM; Esta 30 IOM; Alice 10 Ohio; Jane 5 Ohio.

Children of Esther Crow and Robert Brew:

i. Rosalie Brew was born in Ohio, about 1850. (Same child as Alice in 1860 census?)

ii. Jane Brew was born in Ohio, about 1855.
