Many thanks again for this help and my apologies that I did not find this on the CD -which I do have. Even knowing that it was there it took me a while to find, as there is simply so much information, but again thank you.
Significantly in the 1864 valuation data that you supplied there is an entry the (property 17) for a Jane Skelly.
It may be bad research on my part to just assume that she is the sister of Cornelius, but having tracked her I am certain that there are no other Jane Skellys in Peel then, and she does not seem to have strayed very far ever.
Jane is ennumerated just three years prior to this, in the 1861 census, close by
"Peel, district 1, schedule 107, Cottage on Shore Street" with the Morrison family (eight of them) plus a boarder and two servants. It must have been a very crowded cottage.
