'Bank Account's pub by IoM bank in 1990 has an account of Quiggin's then stated to be oldest running business on Island - founded 1821 by Robert Quiggin one of 13 children of Daniel Quiggin and Margaret Bridson who m. at Kk Braddan 1791 - Robert was joined in partnership in 1850 by Edward Todd Quiggin mentioned in my 1st post.
The Todd's I think are associated with the Drink trade - I have come across the name several times but havn't any immediate connections to offer.
The business passed to the taggarts by sale in 1899 (Taggart had worked for the Co and was a partner).
