Donna - Those would be films of the Bishop's Transcripts which you used.
There is now a fourth category, as the FHS has been transcribing Onchan burials for example off films/printouts of the original registers, thus bye-passing the 1911 transcripts.
I did note that the Onchan Register covering the 17th century was itself a mid to late eighteenth century transcript, whereas the early eighteenth century register was in truly contemporary script.
