Re: Radcliffe Farm
In Response To: Re: Radcliffe Farm ()

According to Constance Radcliffe, Philip (1753-1815) and his wife Esther Christian (1755-1826) "had one surviving son James, who married Elizabeth Wattleworth, and was the first of the Ohio branch to live in Ohio Cottage. The house was so named because people receiving letters from their relations in the United States, especially from Cleveland, Ohio, brought them to this house to be read".
I think you may need to do what I did when trying to sort out my Radcliffe ancestors, and look at a lot of wills!
Good luck,
Sue
