I came across a death notice probably from the 1930s that mentions a Robert Kewley:
"Fine Old Manxman Passes On.
The funeral took place on Saturday of Mr. James Kewley, of Croit-e-Quill, Lonan, who had passes away at the age of 89. He and his brother, the late Mr. Robert Kewley were men of fine physique, as hale and active as most men half their age, and they had originality and fine character. They came to Lonan in their youth from Lezayre, and farmed together at the middle Grawe, now owned by Mr. T. Callow, M.H.K. Mr. James Kewley remained in farming almost all his life, and was for many years steward at the Barony, Maughold. Noth were ardent Methodists, passionately attached to the Lonan Old Chapel. They knew the Manx language and could tell endless takes of bygone days, and they were manxmen of whom their countrymen felt proud."
There is a photograph of a distinguished, white-haird/bearded gentleman. Unfortunately the notice is undated, but it's in with several others clippings from the IOM Examiner from the 30s.
