Hello Tony,
I noticed your reply to above query and thought that I would tell you that my family consists of CURRAN/CORRIN, KEWLEY and KNEALE.
The CURRAN/CORRIN name is my GGGGrandfather Richard CURRAN born 29th Oct 1821- Malew, died 28th March 1892, buried at Foxdale, and his wife Mary nee KEWLEY, Christened April 6th 1823, Ballaugh, they married July 13th 1842 at Kirk Michael.
They had a daughter Ann ( and possibly more children )she was Christened on July 19th 1846, Malew.
Ann CURRAN as she is on census's, had 3 illegitimate children, William & Catherine, both were brought up by their Grandparents Richard and Mary CORRIN in Malew.
Ann CURRAN married my GGGrandfather Robert KNEALE on Sept 7th 1872 at Kirk Marown Church, by Licence.
Thomas FARAGHER was Ann CURRAN'S 3rd base child, I am still trying to find out about him.
My family of KNEALE's all ended up in and around the Foxdale/Braaid areas and in Douglas generally.
Can you see any connections?
Regards,
Carol Lloyd
