Re: Searching for 'exiled' Corcoran ancesters

Thank you again for taking the time to reply.

Sorry for my ignorance in not knowing which Irish uprising the short Corcoran biography refers to. I would assume the 1798 uprising - but then that does not make sense for the date of birth, 1823, for son, Daniel J. Corcoran.

I am trying real hard to work on my family line. Especially my father's side. My father is 83 years old and in declining health. He cannot see to do the research himself and is extremely hard of hearing. He wants to know some answers to his family line befores he passes away. Even though I have a full time job, Christmas time, etc. - I find time to pursue the genealogy family line. But unfortunately, it is not enough time to thoroughly dig and dig and dig to find the clues. If I were old enough to retire - I would never be out of the computer searching for answers. Another setback is the fact that I am ignorant of the Irish-English history and ways. But, with preserverance and stubborness I will find some answers.

If it would not be too much trouble, I am interested in the article that you have in regards to the 4-courts record office being used as a bomb factory. I have found alot of the records in different areas where lost due to wars, fire, flood, etc.

Thanks again.
