I've recently transcribed this old will in one of our deed boxes which was a bit of an enigma. I'm putting together bits of the jigsaw but thought this might be of relevance to this (old) topic.
William Corlett died on or about 12/10/1852. I have some family tree.

13th February 1851
I William Corlett native of the Isle of Man but now residing in this Colony do hereby declare this to be my last Will and Testament reserving to myself the right of adding a codicil at any future period 1st after paying my lawful debts.
I leave and bequeath to my illegitimate children viz Margaret Corlett, Catherine Corlett, Susan Jane Corlett, Georgiana Corlett & David Corlett all Borne of the woman Belinda Rawlins now residing on Lot No ten 10 West Coast County Berbice and also the son of Betty Grant named Albert Henry the whole of my property in this Colony to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike unto my one undivided half of the Plant Woodley Park and the Plantation Britannia both Estates in the aforesaid Colony and County of Berbice West Coast, Plant Britannia I wish to be transported in the name of the above mentioned children reserving however the right to Belinda Rawlins and Betsey Grant two acres of land each for the purpose of allowing them to erect houses for themselves to live in and also to cultivate provision grounds and to be allowed free drainage to each side line of said Britannia Plantation and to be allowed to choose any spot on said estate wherever they may think proper to select, as long as Both of them remain single without living without a married or reputed husband, however in case one or either of them should get married to a decent good man that would behave himself quietly and respectfully towards said children Both would be allowed the use of the same piece of ground as if not married but in case one of them should pick up with a reputed husband then in that case any one of the children by applying to any Justice of the Peace may have both ejected of course allowing said parties to remove the house materials should there be any to be removed without being molested But in case either should be married and their husband or husbands be interfering and illtreating the aforesaid children any justice of the Peace through a complaint being made by any one of the children or their Guardians to have both said husband and mother be expelled provided the mother encouraged any illtreatment to wards said children but should the mother behave and not be blamed for any Misconduct the mother or mothers be allowed remain My estate in the Isle of Man called Ballaterson Moar situated in the Parish of Ballaugh my Brother John Becomes my Heir to said property on his paying one hundred pounds to each of my sisters living as also one hundred pounds to my brother David now residing in this Colony on Plantation Balthyook County Belice It is my wish that David Corlett should look after my interest in Woodly Park and carry it on for the benefit of the children aforesaid in the said Will and for which he must be allowed to take out of the proceedings of said Woodly Park one hundred pounds Sterling I also appoint himself David Corlett and Alexander Winter Esq now residing in the Town of new Amsterdam in this Colony County Berbice to be my just and lawful Executors in this Colony as also P Hughes Esq of Demerary said Colony now residing in Plantation Anna Regina county Executor said Executors to be allowed whatever percentage that may be allowed by the chief Justice of British Guiana or any of the Judges of said Colony, and Thomas Moon Esq of the Town of Ramsey Isle of Man to be my just and lawful Executor to act in the Isle of Man and – to be empowered to transact all business there subject to the sanction of the Executors aforenamed in the Colony, but the Executors mentioned to act in this Colony have full authority to transact all business connected with my estate without consulting the said Thomas Moon I also leave and bequeath to my neice Louisa Kelly a legacy of fifty pounds out of the Ballaterson Moar and which my brother John is bound to pay an assuming the Estate of Ballaterson Moar I also give full power of Substitution and all other powers that can be given Executors to act the same as if living myself I beg it to be clearly understood that two of said Executors can act without consulting a third if need be.
It must also be perfectly understood that in the absence of words being omitted in this said Will to make it more intelligible makes no odds neither do I wish any dispute to arise but to be acted upon uprightly and that all powers which can or ought to be given are given to my said Executors This is written hurriedly by myself and the few enterlining are my own this will is not to be opened except at the Government Secretary's Office in presence of the two chief officers of said office and said Executors.
