ACCIDENT TO A MIXER.—On Thursday, a miner at the Laxey mines, named Robert Callow, while engaged in preparing a blast, was seriously injured about the eyes and face, in consequence of an explosion caused by the emission of a spark from the rock, which he had struck with an " iron tamping." The injured mau is under the care of Dr. Elliott, ¦surgeon to the mines.
