actually the 1911 copy is a very accurate transcription (tho somewhat tidied up) of a register that is itself a copy of the 'old + defaced register' - both registers are now held by Manx Museum - the copy from which the 1911 copy was made differs from the oldest surviving reg in that names were often shortened
