Yes, that was the theory, but I don't think we reached any definite conclusion. In her answer to mine [URL given in my previous posting] Frances summarised the "will of Eleanor Gill als Barker (from bapts - no marriage found)".
"d 7 Jul 1833;husb Robt Gill;ch Robt( eldest + at age), James, Eleanor, Hannah + Henry; Husb Robt sworn admr; 24 Feb 1834: Robt gell junr accepts payment of £150 from father in lieu of his share of mother's estate, 8 May 1837: James (at present Ramsey) acks £150 from father Robt re mother's estate; Sept 1839: Robt Cowley + wife Hannah claim agt Wm Callister (exor of Robt) for £150 being Hannah's share in mother's estate - they ack £150 21 Sep 1839;Aug 1850: Henry acks £62 6s 6d from Wm Callister being balance on Henry's share of mother's estate; [Robt senr marries Sarah Buchannan Mau 18340609 (+ 2 children) - on 6 Jan 1838 Sarah Gill marries both in Kk Maughold then at Catholic Chapel in Ramsey Mr James Freel merchant of Ramsey - can be found in 1841 with 2 ch bapt RC - James grocer Church street 1st marr to Ann Duff"
And added:
"sorry - should have added doesn't immediately look a good match but can't find a bapt for Robt junr nor marr but James bapt 1815 + Henry 1827"
