The last will and testament of me Lace Radcliffe of the Larivane(White
Swamp) in the parish of Andreas being in a sound state of mind, memory and
understanding at the making here do appoint order and ordain the disposal of
my estate in the way and manner following: I leave devise
and bequeath to my son in law John Corkill of the Cronk (Cronk Bane =
The Hill)in the parish of Andreas the sum of one pound sterling, as
legacy. I leave devise and bequeath to my son John Thomas now in
America the sum of eight pounds Sterling as legacy.
I leave devise and bequeath to my son James now in Australia the sum
of eight pounds sterling as legacy.
I leave devise and bequeath to my son Edward now in America the sum of eight
pounds sterling as legacy. I leave devise and bequeath to my son Joseph now
in America the sum of eight pounds sterling as legacy. I
leave devise and bequeath to my son Benjamin the sum of eight pound sterling
together with a feather bed and bedding as legacy. I nominate
and appoint my son William Lace Radcliffe of the Village Andreas my
whole and sole executor and residuary legatee of all my goods chattels
and effects of whatsoever nature whether real or personal wheresoever the
same may be situate or discovered. In witness hereof I do hereby subscribe
my name this the Twenty fourth day of May 1877.

bedding - 8 Feb 1879
Joseph Radcliffe Cleveland Ohio USA £8 sterling 24 Jan 1880.
Edward Radcliff of Newburgh Ohio USA received £8 sterling 24 Jan 1880.

And his gravestone inscription (from Ian Radcliffe):
H.12 In loving / memory of / LACE RADCLIFFE / of / Larivane / who died / while engaged in preaching at / Smeal / on Sunday 30th June 1878 / Aged 78 years. / He had been a local preacher / for 39 years. / Also / ESTHER RADCLIFFE / nee SAYLE, wife, of the above / who died 3rd June 1864. / Aged 65 years.

H.13 In / loving / memory of / ELIZA, / third daughter of Wm. LACE & ELEANOR RADCLIFFE / Larivane, / born July 8th 1869 / died Jan. 7th 1890, / Also / FRANCES MARGARET, / youngest daughter / born March 4th 1876 / died March 2nd 1891.

H.14 In / loving / memory of / Wm. LACE RADCLIFFE, / of Larivane, / who died Feb. 11th 1893 / Aged 70 years. / Also / ELLEN, / widow of the above, / who died October 24th 1913 / Aged 81 years.
