I thought we'd put this one to bed LOL. I’ve just realised I’ve been looking at two different Elizabeth’s on the 1850 Ohio Census!
Monroe County (Elizabeth Claig born Isle of Man c1832)

Cuyahoga County (mistranscribed as Elizabeth Clagne born Ohio 1831)

Monroe County looks to be too far away to be our Elizabeth who later marries in Cuyahoga. This should be our Elizabeth in Cuyahoga in 1860 it says born c1824 with Isle of Man as place of birth.

I still think Elizabeth was US born there was a John and James Clague on the tax records for Cuyahoga in 1832. The naturalisation that could be John has him arriving in the USA in 1828. Both the MI and 1850 Census have John born in 1800 the original marriage record would likely be brief so unlikely to have his age or date of birth.
