birth years given at deaths (in 1906 / 1898 ) --- 1829 / 1832

Do you have any other official records of birth years / ages ?

Have you wondered whether the person who filled in the 1880 census form perhaps misread his notes and read 36 as 56 (it does clearly say 56 on the image) ? Might he also have guessed Elizabeth’s birthplace and just entered New York to match Cyrenus ?

Is there any official document which states the year of Elizabeth’s emigration ?

There were at least half a dozen girls baptised Elizabeth Clague on the IOM who would fit the birth date of 22 May 1832 given on the grave.
