Correction:

I said that there didn’t appear to be any marriages of John and Eleanor’s children on the IOM, but I was using the IGI.

I’ve looked at Manx BMD and found this (having just discovered a rather sketchy tree on Ancestry) :

Robert Sydney Caine m Mona Mary Conway in Douglas in 1929. They had a son, John Stanley Caine, in 1929.
