If I understand the descent correctly which you wrote on the board "NANCY ANN ALIFAIR CAIN, to JOHN CAIN GRUBBS" you have included a female link in your Cain line?

If so, you have the same problem that I had. Although the results may show you relationships of interest to you, you cannot get the specific details needed for the surname DNA study unless the descent is male Cain to male Cain all the way down in every generation to your brother.
