living in Douglas pre 1830 a child (assuming not a Roman Catholic, Presbyterian or Congregationalist) could be baptised in Douglas St Matthews (old chapel near quay in centre of old Douglas - see map on MNB ), Douglas St Georges (somewhat up market 'English' church tho legally a chapel to Braddan) or the mother church of Kirk Braddan (a mile or so outside Douglas where most marriages would take place as you needed a special licence to be married in the other 2 chapels) - all 3 need looking at - there is always the possibility of an out of parish bapt but these are relatively rare + usually noted in both registers
